NORAC News Feed
Just a little less than 4 weeks to our 2nd home swim meet of the season. I’m looking forward to seeing all our swimmers racing in our home pool again, particularly the Novice swimmers who haven’t participated in a competition since our last home meet. Go NORAC Go!
As this is a home competition and the expectation is that all swimmers will participate, all our swimmers have been pre-entered into the meet. If your swimmer will NOT be attending or only able to attend one of the days, please let me know by responding before Tuesday February 6 to this email: email@example.com . This will then allow the coaches time to organize the relay teams.
The fee for participating in the home meet is a flat rate of $20. This is to be paid to Annette via cheque, etransfer or cash is acceptable as long as you attach a note saying who it’s from. (or deducted from you Swim Meet account if you have a credit balance.) If your not at the pool on Tuesdays or Thursdays when I’m there, you can leave it in my folder in the NORAC box on the end of the reception counter.
Call for Officials and food donations will be sent out soon, keep an eye on your inbox!
See you at the pool,
Hello NORAC families,
We are offering a number of officials clinics to help train our officials before our home meet at the end of February. Please consider taking one of the following:

All clinics will be given by Annette at Jack Burger. Please let Mary-Ellen, know what clinic you would like to attend by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org

Our second home meet of the season is coming up in about a month, February 24 and 25/18. I am looking to see if anybody is interested in helping me out with organizing food for the meet. Someone who is low in Family Participation Points. The meet is a two day meet, so if you are interested and are low on Family Participation Points, can help out both days and can be at the pool at 10:00 a.m. both days to help set up, and help clean up at the end of the meet each day,
Please reply by email by Monday, January 29 to Debbie at email@example.com. You’ll be able to earn 25 points each day for helping me organize food for the meet. This is a great opportunity to learn what it entails to be the Food Coordinator if you wish to do the position in the future. The Food Coordinator earns 45 points per session or event.
As well, if you are interested, when replying to this email, please add how many Family Participation Points you have, so that I may choose fairly.
Thanks. Debbie Jones, Food Coordinator
Please check our website for Qualifier entries. All who responded to the disclosed athlete qualifiers email have been entered.

It is that time of year when we ask all NORAC families to submit their Family Participation Tracking form completed with the points earned to date. For anyone who has earned at least half or is well on their way to half of the needed points your cheque (dated January 15, 2018) will NOT be cashed. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT FORM IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 5th, 2018.
I know a number of us Board members have signed many forms for many points so please make sure you send the form in and get credit for all the great work you have done for the club.
You can submit the form:
- in paper by putting it in my folder (Mary-Ellen McKenna) in the NORAC box on the administration desk at Jack Burger, OR
- by taking a photo of it and sending it to me electronically.
For those of you who are submitting the form by hard copy, you can print a new one for the second half of the season from the website, which you can find at: CLUB DOCUMENTS
This is a very busy time of year for everyone, please take a moment as soon as possible to send along your form. If we don’t receive it we will assume you have earned 0 points and we will cash your January 15, 2018 cheque.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
All the best to you and all those you hold dear for this holiday season and the new year,
