NORAC 2018-2019 Season PLANNING

As one swim season is winding down, preparations for the next are in full swing. We understand that the group placement of your swimmer will affect your scheduling as well. So, please note that the email sent out on Tues, May 29th by Annette Otter had the coach’s recommendations for placement of your swimmer(s) for next season. The training schedule remains the same as the 2017-18 season and is available on the website here: http://swimnorac.com/competitive-team/training-schedule/

Complete registration packages will be issued in the next few weeks.

Also, in order to help us as an executive plan for next season, please respond to the email and indicate whether your swimmer will be returning or not or if you are not sure at this time. This will help us in preparations for next season as well.

SUMMER BINGO SCHEDULE

Greetings NORAC Families.

Please be advised that the summer bingo signup has been posted to the website.

For families with outstanding BINGO requirements, please respond ASAP as these slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

More on Team Photos

Hi everyone,

We had a great turnout for the team photo Tuesday. If you missed it, Connor’s mom from Novice will take an additional picture on Thursday for those who were not available today. Please wear black or red Norac gear.

Nathan Johnson (Summer Youth +)  will be at the pool on Thursday from 5-7 to take orders. The cost for the photo is $10. What a great memory for your swimmer.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and thank you to Michael Cumberland (Charlie Senior Dev) for taking the photo today!

Trish

Coaches needed for 2018-2019 Season

We will be looking for swim school coaches for next season.

Please ask your swimmer if they are interested and please reply to this email, letting me know when they will be available and which groups they are interested in coaching. I realize that schedules for school and other activities are not yet available, however if you can let me know if they are looking for 1 hour, 2 hours or more per week, it will help me to plan.

We have intro lane, double lane, advanced lane and competitive spots available. Coaches should start volunteering and shadowing a more experienced coach, before taking on a group themselves.

It would be best if coaches could take their bronze cross and bronze medallion courses this summer. There are a couple of options available. Check at the front desk or in the leisure guide or online http://www.porthope.ca/aquatics

Once I have a good idea of who is interested in which areas, I will organize a training session (later in the summer) which will include expectations, on deck training, and snacks 😊
